Effective November 1, 2023, expanded access for specified parties and attorneys pursuant to California Rules of Court 2.515, 2.517, 2.518, 2.519, 2.520, 2.521 and 2.522 is available. Please contact the Court at (559) 416-5599 during business hours and a Judicial Assistant can provide further information on the access request process. Attorneys can also request access to multiple cases by using the Attorney Case Access Request Form.
Under California Rule of Court 2.504(b), unless electronically certified by the court, a trial court record available by electronic access is not the official record of the court. To obtain a certified copy of a trial court record, contact the Court at (559) 416-5599 during business hours and a Judicial Assistant can assist you further. In addition, information is available on the Madera Superior Court website regarding procedures for requesting certified copies and all applicable fees.

The Madera County Superior Court now accepts electronically filed petitions for Domestic Violence Restraining Orders, Domestic Violence Temporary Restraining Orders and Gun Violence Restraining Orders, pursuant to SB 538 (2021-22 Legislative Year), AB 887 (2021-22 Legislative Year), AB 2960 (2021-22 Legislative Year) and the court’s local rules (Division 6).
These petitions can be filed through this Portal free of charge. An account is required in order to access this feature. Initial petitions can be filed by clicking ‘Domestic Violence Filing’ or ‘Gun Violence Filing’ on the left-hand side of the Home screen after you have logged in. For subsequent filings in an existing case, you must log into the Portal and access your case through the ‘My Cases’ link. Please note that staff must verify your identity and grant expanded access before the case will appear on the ‘My Cases’ page. Please contact the Civil Division at (559) 416-5565 during business hours to obtain expanded case access in Domestic Violence and Gun Violence matters as noted above.
